So i was part of an online group and yesterday i left because what some people said there was disgusting. They were discussing what type of humor they had and one person said that she liked joking about being r@aped?! Because she thought it was funny. WTF. Seriously what is wrong with some people??? I really wanted to throw up after reading this. Gosh everyday i lose hope for humanity even more. I want to live in a world where people are kind to each other and not this. Anyways i'm glad i left this group because no one needs this type of people in their life. I wanted to share it because it stuck with me a lot. I don't know if i am naive or what but to this point in life it was unimaginable to me to make a joke about such a topic or worse find it funny. I guess that's an example for me that not everyone is a good person and i wanna learn how to not be affected by this.

S***** assault is not something to laugh at or joke about...in any situation. I'm sorry you were left to feel uncomfortable and that those individuals showed such poor taste/maturity.

I am still shocked at it tbh. But well they are just dumb that's it. I shouldn't give too much thought too them. But i sincerely hope they will change even though i don't think it's likely.

Your feelings are important even though I wouldn't have had exactly the same reaction. Humor is very subjective, and when someone has an offensive sense of humor that we don't share, it can lead us to judge them harshly. Maybe that person shouldn't have shared that she liked jokes about being r@aped. She should have known it could really hurt the feelings of a rape survivor or anyone who cares about them. But she might be a surprisingly nice person with a bizarre sense of humor. She might be a rape survivor and laugh at rape jokes to cope.
I somehow developed a dark sense of humor. Maybe it started out with me watching Invader Zim or reading comics by its director such as

No she's not a great person. Now that i am thinking about this she said a lot of other mean and negative things like:" i hate people that are only child they are insufferable" Umm no, not every only child is like this. She is a very black and white person and generalizes everything. So i'm really really glad i stopped talking to her. I don't need this type of people in my life.
And honestly yeah i get it, humor is suggestive, but THESE type of things you don't joke about. Like seriously? If it would happen to you you wouldn't make jokes about it. It's just so mean. People really go through this and it's nothing to laugh about.
Some people make jokes about their own trauma i know that, but you can't say; "oh yeah i like joking about being r@ped". And people who support this don't have any sanity or empathy at all. I never thought that this was possible and knowing that some people even dare to defend this type of humor is just disgusting. So i am not judging her harshly i am just saying the truth here.

It's not you being naive, it's rude people being very inconsiderate and just plain disgusting. Hugs you tightly ❤ it's hard not to let it get to you😞 but don't worry there are more good people than bad in this world, don't let some ruin it all for you. You know oneday I dream of living in a cabin in the woods, away from all people and all bad things, just peace and relaxing with nature, you can come too 😁❤
