vent!!
Hello! I'm particularly new here but I made a new account. It's been years since I last visited 7cups, and in those years, I haven't felt like myself. Yes, there are days where I'd feel normal. But most of the time, I feel depressed, paranoid, and distant. It got worse around November last year, and I haven't cleaned my room ever since.
I've neglected my studies, too. I never wanted to neglect school, it's something I keep holding on in hopes that I can bring my family up and give them a better life. But even if I overthink so much about how I should be studying, I can't bring myself to do so. I've got papers and tasks due this week, but I haven't written a single word.
I wish I could get better. I wish I had more friends. I wish I could to talk to someone and cry and feel like I'm not just hugging myself for once.
TW!!!
Recently, I started physically h4rm!ng myself. I didn't expect myself to do it, I've always told myself I would never experience it. Yet it distracts me from my thoughts, it felt good to me.
Hello @sapphicmoon
I just wanted to say thank you for opening up to us and sharing what you've been going through. I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through such a tough time right now. It takes a lot of courage to talk about these things, and I want you to know that I'm here for you.
Feeling depressed, paranoid, and distant can be really hard, but I want you to know that there are people out there who can help you through this. I can understand how overwhelming it must be to neglect your studies when you have such a strong desire to provide for your family. Just remember to be kind to yourself as you go through this journey of figuring things out and growing.
I can hear that you're really looking for connection and understanding. It's completely normal to want to talk to someone and let your feelings out instead of carrying them all by yourself. If you're comfortable with it, it might be helpful to reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or even a professional who can provide the support you need.
I'm really worried to hear that you've started hurting yourself. This is a serious situation, and I strongly encourage you to reach out to a mental health professional or a helpline in your country as soon as possible. They can offer you the guidance and resources you need to get through this.
Just remember, you deserve to be happy and to feel well. You're deserving of love, understanding, and support. Please take care of yourself and know that there are people who genuinely care about you and your well-being.
Sending you strength and support as you work towards healing.
