what do you do?
when nothing seems to be right? when no matter what you do or don’t do, it’s not enough or not correct? when you feel like you have to beg for any bit of love or attention from the ones who are supposed to love you? when youre at an age where you should have had at least something figure out by now, but you’re nothing and useless? it seems like every day gets darker and i am suffocating under the weight of the burden of life. i can do almost nothing for myself, i only have a couple people close to me and even i can see they are growing tired of me. no one understands this deep seated feeling of not belonging and forever feeling like something is missing that i can’t get back. what do i do when this is my reality every waking moment?
Hello @dxnnyphxntom 🤗
I'm genuinely sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It sounds like you're going through a really tough and overwhelming time. It's okay to feel lost or unsure, no matter your age. Life doesn't follow a strict timeline for achievements or self-discovery. Sometimes, the weight of our expectations and those of others can be incredibly heavy, but remember, your value isn't defined by productivity or by others' perceptions.
It's concerning to hear that you feel suffocated and unsupported. No one should have to beg for love or attention, especially from those who are important to them. Your feelings of not belonging are valid, but please know that they don't define your future or your worth.
Have you considered reaching out to a therapist or counsellor? They can offer a supportive space to explore these feelings and help you find strategies to cope and to reconnect with your sense of self and purpose. Sometimes, talking to a professional can provide a different perspective that is hard to see when you're in the midst of such difficult emotions.
Also, try to find small moments in your day that bring you some peace or joy, even if they seem trivial. It could be as simple as a warm cup of tea, a favorite song, or a walk outside. These moments can act as gentle reminders that there is warmth and beauty to be found, even on darker days.
Remember, it's okay to not have everything figured out, and it's okay to ask for help. You are not alone, even when it feels that way. There's strength in acknowledging your struggles and reaching out. You deserve to be heard and supported.
