One of my former social work professors posts about it on Facebook from time to time.
I was actually browsing online for potential internships and 7 cups popped up. I'm so glad it did because being on this site has been such an enjoyable experience and I'm so happy to be a part of this community!
I found 7cups as a member first, saw firsthand how beautiful the community was and became a listener shortly afterwards, been over 3 years now and even though I'm not on here all the time it's been really fulfilling experience that I wouldn't trade for anything, love all the beautiful souls here members and listeners alike, you guys are the best. (:
A friend recommended 7cups to me.
Was googling bipolar support groups and it was one the finds that came up.
Through Google- looking for depression support
A couple of years ago when I was 14 I was going through a really bad patch and at one point I was about ready to end my life. A girl I knew at school had heard me saying about how low I was and she gave me a piece of paper. On the paper it said 'Go to 7 cups. I used it after my mum died. It really does help'
Her name was Connie and I hardly knew her but her act of kindness really did save my life and make a difference. I went to 7 cups and spent a lot of time here as a member. I got through all my problems.

Lovely story. Just goes to show we never know what effect we may have on a person and change their life's trajectory.
I read a post on one forum. That guy told me about this community, so I decided to register here.
I was looking online for free sites where I could speak to someone about my depression!
