I usually try to calm down and regulate my emotions first before I try to tackle any problem. Breathe, get a good night's rest, wake up the next day better equipped to look at the issue from a more relaxed and objective state of mind. Try not to be too harsh on yourself and look at the situation from a third person's pov. Acknowledge your mistakes, go over what you've learned, and move forward wiser than you were yesterday.

Regret has been a diving force through a lot of my life. Looking back, I made the decisions I made because I thought they were the best thing to do at the time. Instead of beating myself up I try to learn as much as possible from it to make better decisions the next time. Also, there's always something good that comes out of everything and you can make even more good things come out of it. You wouldn't have learned everything you have if you didn't make mistakes. Those who never fail never try & never learn anything. Those who try more things make more mistakes but also succeed more.

@HennerRenner

Hey Hennee,

Oh dear im sorry to hear you are feeling like this, this is a very deep question you are asking here, and I think there are multiple answers none necessarily right or wrong. I'd say, the decisions we make in our past, are made for the right reasons at the time, and if these appear to be the wrong decisions in the future, then quite possible we can regret them, now having said that, unfortunately we are unable to change our past, however we are able to learn from them to change the way we do things in our future. Self reflection and hindsight are wonderful tools because they make us re-evaluate and questions our past behaviours.

In terms of clearing your mind, is easier said than done because there is no magic potion, but, if you can learn to accept, learn and move forward, these are great starting points, allow yourself time to process your thoughts and emotions, do some of this things you enjoy, take more time to enjoy them, eat well and a good nights sleep always work for a positive mind set. I'm happy to discuss options via pms if you'd like to message me.

Take it easy mate!
