Motivation is gone
Hey guys. I will be turning 18 in 22 days! I didn't really know where else to post this... I'm jusy so confused. I think I'm happy and then a split second later something changes and I go back to feeling depressed. Sometimes it's worse than others. I don't know what's wrong with me... is it my fault? How can I make it stop..? I've been trying to get myself out of bed more but I'm losing all motivation. Everything I used to love just doesn't get me excited anymore.. how can I get the joy from these activites back? There are so many more questions I need to ask..
@DogLover8555 omg I've had the same feeling so many times, like I'm just happy and then something will have to ruin it. Like you, I've lost my motivation too (i think I've lost it sometime in 2015), and I still can't find it back. Right now, I'm just trying to stay positive, tell myself that whatever it is, it'll blow away and then I'll be happy again. Honestly, I don't really think it's your fault, I mean it's hard to control it. If you find that all those activities that you used to do don't seem to help lift your spirits, maybe try to find something else to do. For me, I think watching old shows really brought back a lot of good times and memories. I truly wish you'll be able to find your motivation again, and if you ever need to speak, I'm here for you :)

Heyyy! Happy birthday in advance!
We all go through a phase like this in our lives.Thou I'm 16 but still I feel relatable so you don't need to worry too much about it. We all are here for you to give you the support you need! According to me, we feel like this when everything becomes too overwhelming for us to handle. This will soon go away but you have to give it a little push by trying. By trying I mean, live your every day as if it's the last day of your life. Trying finding happiness in little things. Small things like these will help you a lot! I hope that your this birthday will be awesome too just like you!
Andddd feel free to pm me anytime if you ever feel like talking to someone!
@Bushraaa
Thank you for the advice. I love how you said to enjoy the small things because it reminded me of my favorite quote from a silly movie I used to watch with my friends called zombieland. Lol one of the characters got really excited becayse he had finally found a box of twinkles and even though the world and his life was crazy he sat back and enjoyed his twinkie. I need to find some twinkies to enjoy lol!
happy birthday!! i know what you mean bout the things you used to love, and yeah, you are changing as a person, at 18 you will start seing the world differently. no matter what chaos youre life is right now, you should look for new thinks that you like,because they are there! as for the feeling of being lost, the greatest stability in someones life is finding real friends, the kind of friends that see the life the way you do
@DogLover8555 I know this is going to sound stupid, but look up "guided meditation" or something along the lines of that on YouTube. It might take a few tries to work but it's actually pretty relaxing and peaceful once you get the hang of it. Last year in school, we had a small class that focused on meditation. I would do anything now to get those Wednesday last period classes back. I'm not really sure what'll work for you, as everybody is different, but I have mild depression and this helps me focus on life.
