If you like a flower you will pluck at it. Where if you love a flower you will water it everyday and cherish it

Nice thread. Of all the poetry and songs I have written, this one is still my favorite. I wrote it for my late wife when she was still alive, and it still holds true for the new love of my life.

Here is something I've just wrote. Haven't written in 5 months.

Sometimes it's hard to shy,
Never knowing what to say,
To why I start feeling this way,
It wasn't a choice I got to make,
I just want to feel Okay,
Hoping to find my way,
Looking for light through this storm,
Wanting my demons to be gone,
Before they get too strong,
Not able to move with hope slipping away,
Trying to find the light of day,
Hoping this storm goes away,
I'll be strong and make it through,
Hello sunshine I see you.

This one has been the longest I've done. Also shows how much o really feel I suppose.

Trying to fight the demons within,
But it's not as easy as you think,
Always been there for others,
But never Me,
Never asking for there hand I need,
Now it just seems too much for Me,
Trying to be there for people in need,
No matter how hard it was for Me!

I'm trying my best to succeed,
But this failure keeps creepin in,
Trying my best not to give in,
Looking for the help I need,
Searching for the light I can't see,
Wondering how long it will be,
To burn these demons in Me,
The ones people can't see,
Not knowing how hard it is for Me,
Saying they'll be there for Me,
Then seeing the pain I can be,
Saying things that hurt within,
It's not as hard as it seems,
They keep telling Me,
You'll never understand Me,
Even knowing all that I feel!

How many times I fell to my knees,
With all this weight on Me,
Not being able to breath,
With my demons drowning Me,
It's a pain I hope you don't see,
It's not as easy as it seems,
To get back up on those feet,
Someday, hope will find Me,
Before my demons win,
Taking all this pain from Me,
Leaving this burden with ye,
Is something I don't want to see,
Because I know how hard it can be,
Finding light won't be so easy,
When you can't see, the hand you need,
Thinking all hope has been lost within,
This is the pain nobody can see,
Never judge, and give that hand people need!
