Want to be sectioned
Hi, I'm from the UK and I'm just wondering if anyone has had an issue with getting sectioned?
I'm 17, I have been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation and am currently seeing a doctor about other possible mental health issues such as ADHD/ADD that runs in my family.
I have had multiple suicide attempts and have been in hospital for 2 OD's, I am currently awaiting my assessment for DBT and I want to bring up the topic of going to a psychiatric unit. The last time I asked was when I was in hospital with CALMHS and they refused.
I don't feel safe around myself, giving into bad habits again and very suicidal, I'm on the edge and I'm trying my best to help myself but I need extra support and a break from reality and myself.
If I speak to my doctor again (We don't have a bond right now, I find him patronizing) do you think he will accept and refer me, how should I go about this?
@IronicSarcasm first of all im really sorry to hear about your story. second of all, i can't answer your last question. but i want you to at least keep trying, cuz if you don't try or not, nothing will be different. The doctor will not blame you or something. Thank you for sharing your story.

Hi, How are you feeling today?
I know it must be so frustrating when the Doctor doesnt seem to listen, I wonder if you have any access to group support? what sorts of things are in your soothing kit?
