What Is the Hardest Time of Day For You?
Hey everyone, Happy Friday! While dwelling on the upcoming weekend, it occurred to me that depression impacts our lives in different ways each day, sometimes every hour. So, what is the most difficult time of day for you? Mine is mornings and 2pm. I cried all the way to work this morning. Be kind. Be well.
Definantly at night, I am feeling the most uncomfortable because I am thinking about things that happend during the day.
Thank you all so much. I am blown away by so much input. It appears our toughest times tends to be at either end of the spectrum (morning/evening). We are all different. I tend to be quite peaceful in the evening, other than being dog-tired from work, because that is the time I have my son and husband around me. Mornings are the hardest for me because I suddenly become so overwhelmed by my level of obligation. Depression sinks its claws into me and I want to spend my days in bed. I simply cry when I can't.
Thanks again for sharing. ![]()
Morning. When I wake up, even if I'm not tired, I hate everyone. I also talk in my sleep and I constantly find that I say things that hurt people's feelings and that I didn't mean.
@Bobby13,
My dearest and closest friend is a sleep-confronter. She talks in her sleep, but often in a malicious and defensive manner. She never remembers and laughs when I tell her. Sometimes the human mind fabricates its own coping mechanisms. This might just be your way or working through internalized feelings. Don't be too hard on yourself.
Night time, it's where my thoughts like to come out the most and drown me.
I hate mornings, when I have to get up and face the world again, but the hardest are nights. Then I have to fall asleep and be alone with my thoughts. I am often get anxious about the next day, or depressed about the last. Then I can't sleep at all.
nighttime. when everyone else has gone go bed and my thoughts are clouded with what i should or shouldn't have done, or i am fretting about the future. it keeps me up and then i have trouble sleeping.
Wake up, eat, try to distract myself from my mind, here comes the night: one hour to actually fall asleep. Always alone and trying to figure out one reason to wake up next day.
Night for me. Home from work, I'm exhausted mentally and physically and my depression will emotionally exhaust me as well. Depression is at its worst when I'mthat tiredbut it's Bad allthe time. I'm alone in the evenings so I run away with my thoughts. Every night I'm in tears the pain I feel is almost more than I can bare at times. Yeah so anyway nights are difficult.
The morning is difficult. Sleep is usually a safe place and then when I wake up it's gone. The anxiety sets in right away and sometimes it's a little paralyzing.
Night time. Definatly. The dreams are the worst, because I can't controll them.
