What's a good habit you've started recently ?
Hey, I'm depressed! D E P R E S S E D!
I've always been scared to say that out to my family and friends. I'm sure they can see that I am, and I'm sure some of them feel the same way too on the inside. A family member I once told this to later mentioned how I was mentally unstable, and it made me feel so judged. Now I'm wary of mentioning my problems, and I feel like id rather just speak on good things so that others aren't troubled. I feel unreliable and unhealthy, and I'm having such a hard time communicating in a healthy way to the people around me. I thought writing something here might be a good first step.
I'm trying to find good habits to build a better resistance to depression, and I think communicating is one good habit to build. What's a habit you guys have started?

I understand being scared to talk about your depression and issues with your family is reasonable. Especially after someone judged you for feeling this way. It's not an easy journey but you can get over it if you work hard at it. I understand that you want to find better ways to cope. What distracts you from your feelings? It could be any range of coping skills that are good such as grounding, meditating, drawing reading and there is so many more. Some may help more than others. And it takes a while for coping skills to start working. I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to share this on 7 cups. I hope you know that you're not alone and that we are here to support you through your journey. If you want to talk I'm here and there's other people here willing to listen to you to. Hope you find this helpful. Hope you have a good day/night. Take care!❤️
