You my friend have no business here.
So many have tried and so many have failed. You will not break me. You will not see me fall. I will not give you time and I will not let you in. You can stay at the gate and watch it all go by because you my friend have no business here. Somedays might be harder, and it might make you think you've got me this time, but take your noose, your pills and your gun. Because today I am no longer afraid. I don't fear you. You've created this monster now it's your turn to take a turn, To sit back and watch as your life ends just as you've tried to end mine. There's no space for you here, you've been replaced, happy thoughts and goals to achieve have filled holes you've tried to make. You may have your friends the ones who feed you and grow with you. But this skinny SOB is done dealing with you. You've been here too long and wasted to much time. It's time for you to say goodbye. Today's your last and you won't be missed. I've tried to end it but something went wrong. See I'm a good person with a life left to live. You can't have my life, I won't give it up. I've worked to hard and been through too much, too dangle from a cord just isn't in the cards. I've experienced love you try to take it away, but not today. Today is your day to day goodbye, goodbye to the misery, the 2nd guessing, the lack of confidence, the bullshit. I thought I was weak but maybe I'm not, without my consent you cannot succeed. Unlike you I will succeed, and I'm one stubborn sob, if I want it I'll get it and I want my freedom. I've let you in, now I'm letting you out. You think you won but trust me you're wrong. So many have come and many have failed but today it's me fighting you, and you will not win. You can try your dispare, your sadness and unworthiness but today my friend it's not gonna work. I introduce you to hope, to love and to kindness with those you will be defeated. For I am just a man but you aren't real, a figment of my thoughts, just a dwindling light. The calm in my chest says something just happened. Your obituary is being written as I type this out. Goodbye my friend you messed with the wrong guy.
👍 congratulations
"You tremble, carcass? You would tremble a lot more if you knew where I was taking you." - Turenne, Marshal General of France ~ 1660
I found this in Nietzsche's "The Gay Science" in the section on fearlessness. Supposedly, during a battle or at the approach of danger, Turenne could not repress the shaking of his body. He was heard mumbling this quote angrily, talking to his body as one talks to a servant.
