3 tools to fight depression for difficult times:

If depression, sadness and bad thoughts are familiar to you, know that there is hope. There is always hope.

Below are three tools to help you release hopelessness and build a life of happiness:

1.Stop thinking that something is wrong with you and / or trying to correct yourself.
When you feel depressed, when you can't find the feeling of happiness, no matter how hard you try, you often decide that there is something wrong with yourself and try desperately to correct what is wrong. What if there is nothing wrong with you? What if you don't need to be fixed?

We spend so much time judging ourselves and we are so used to believing that we are wrong. Would you be willing to give that up? Would you be willing to consider that you are not as confused as you think?
How much lighter would you feel if you weren't constantly judging yourself?

2. Recognize that this is not about having the right answer.
How long have you been looking for the right answer? How long have you been looking for what will make it all right?

I searched for the right answer for a long time. I thought that if I could find the right answer, maybe I would be happy. Maybe my life would work. I recently discovered that it is the questions, not the answers, that change everything.
Questions open the door to all possibilities. The questions take you beyond all the conclusions you have about life, about others and about yourself.

Two great questions to ask are: "What else is possible?" and, "How can things get any better than this?" No matter what happens. Ask these questions! Open yourself to the possibility of going beyond depression. Open yourself to the possibility that life can be a joyful celebration.

3.Clean your mental conversation.
Does it seem like the conversation in your mind never stops? Have you ever tried to find the "off" button for your thoughts and stop them? It seems impossible? There is a way! Ninety-eight percent of the thoughts, feelings and emotions you have, do not belong to you. You choose them from everyone around you.

Sixteen years ago, I started to ask myself, "Who does this belong to?" whenever I felt sad, depressed, frustrated. I found that 98% of the time, when I asked that question, there was a lightness in my world. Because? Because none of this was really mine! I was absorbing the thoughts, feelings and emotions of others. No one can have told you, but we are like great psychic radio receivers, picking up everything around us.

If you struggle with depression, for the next three days, with every thought, feeling and emotion that comes up, ask yourself "Who does this belong to?" If you feel lighter when you ask the question, those thoughts and feelings were never really yours. Recognizing this allows you to stop trying to correct what never belonged to you in the first place.

Would you be willing to consider yourself a gift? Would you be willing to see that it is a contribution to the world? No matter where you are, no matter how you feel, joy is possible. Adventure is possible. Keep asking yourself, "How can things get any better than this?" and

@KACOSMIC

You missed the very essence of depression:

Nomatter how many tools, advice etc. we receive we understand intellectually their logic but we will simply not do it for lack of will, lack of will to live, lack of will to do anything....

So as your "theory" makes purrfect sense, it never works on us depressives...

@KACOSMIC

No, it is not a matter of will, because if we had any will left logicaly we would have faught it...

I am glad you are one of the extremely few who got free but the rest are trapped...

It is like you know you liked strawberries and you are given strawberries though you do not want them any more...

We encage ourselves in this limbo state awaiting the end for the lack of ending it suddenly yet some of us do it too...

Depression in essence means the loss of will to live, we are not stupid, nor physically weak, we simply fo not want to live anymore...

I'm sorry but i'm not saying that you are stupid or physically weak, i'm just saying that i understand that depression means the loss of will to live but that also you can have your will to live back.

To put it more concisely:

We are intelectually capable of knowing very well what "to do" without you telling us, we simply lost the will to do it it....

I understand you and that we simply lost the will to do things, but we can regain that desire to do things again.

@KACOSMIC

How, can't you see it takes "will" to regain "will" so it makes no sense...
