Activities with friends

July 25th, 2019

So I thought asking an understanding friend to hang out would be a helpful distraction, but what might be a good activity? Although I trust them and don't feel I need to hide my issues, I would still rather not talk about it (feeling of being a burden, etc.), so ideally something where perhaps conversation isn't the main focus. That said, silence isn't too bad, either.

@bubbleGlobe visit a botanical garden...go for twin pedal rowing on water...ping-pong, the list is huge, the key is to have someone to do them with and yes, companionship can be in totalsilence like i took my depressed friend to the lake in highschool and we just sat there on the bank contemplating the lake, the ducks and throwing rocks...he ended up naming a duck Frankie...

@CortoMaltese the duck story is lovely! Yeah, I definitely overthink and worry when it comes to seeing friends sad I also want to be sure my friends don't hang out with me because they feel obliged to...

@bubbleGlobe I never felt obliged to hang with friends, it gave me a sense of contentment and elation. As a child I could not eat without my friends so my grandmother was feeding all my friends tooo😂.

Yes my old friend M was not doing well in natural sciences in highschool and it stressed him out and depressed him...so I took him skipping classes on the lake in the woods across the highschool and we just chilled there...
