Additional help
Hey! I have depression, anxiety disorder and a few milder or suspected mental illnesses. I've been in therapy since October 2019 and even in a clinic for four months. Lately I haven't been doing good and I wish I would improve more. It's not because of my therapist, she's great, but I just don't achieve as much as I should to have a normal life soon.
There are sadly lots of things I'm not allowed to do, can't do (live in a very little village) have tried. Things like meditation and stuff might work, but I just can't keep doing those for longer than a few days in a row. I'm also exercising regularly, not much, but every day.
Does someone know something I could do?
First of all, you did a good job for coming this far 🌸 It's great that you want to improve more, but you also don't need to pressure yourself. Look at yourself you already achieved much. If you want to improve but you can't change your situation, think about what can. Make a List of things you try to achieve, maybe write down why you haven't yet and how things can change for you to achieve it. Have you tried telling your therapist exactly that you feel this way?
@SteinsGate1 Hey, thanks for your kind answer! Sadly I'm suffering from hard mood swings lately and can't really manage them. I talked to my therapist but it doesn't really made it better or something. I know I could be proud of myself, but I'm definitly not in a place where I want or where I even can stay and this is a good day. I just want to get better more efficiently. Not curing myself or something, just getting better.
What helped me was "Don't forget, they are just human like you are" a good friend told me this after I raged and made someone cry. It's hard to control those mood swings, especially when you're young. Everytime I would feel like I don't have my emotions under control, I drink water count down to ten and think about this sentence. Can I ask why you feel like you need to get better more efficiently?
