Adult ADHD & Depression
Hi am new to 7cups, I am currently working on a diagnosis for adult ADHD primarily inattentive type ADD and I also live with depression. A friend of mine with similar symptoms to me suggested I try Wellbutrin as it is supposed to be effective for ADD and depression in people that do not have anxiety. So far I have only tried Escitalopram and found while it helped me manage depressing thoughts, it made my mood flat and I felt detached and unmotivated. I curious if anyone has experience with Wellbutrin or can share some of their experiences with ADHD mixed with depression.
I was on wellbutrin for a while. I had ADD and it helped a little but nothing too noticeable. I have some friends that it did wonders for though so it’s worth giving it a shot. The most I personally got out of it was its appetite supressant effects. I was also on fluoxetine at the same time and experienced little to no relief for the depression.
