Anti-Depressants=no sex
Ive been in this relationship for almost 4 years now. We live together with his parents for the time being because its cheaper while we are in first year university.
Im on ecitalopram ( lexpro/anti depressant) for my anxiety and depression. Ot works great for everyhting but my sex drive. We used to be crazy intimate, and i loved it but for over 3 months i havent wanted gim to touch me. Ive heard a lot from people on the same drug that this happens but it doesnt make me feel any better. Im too scared to go off of it, but im also scared him and i are loosing oir connection because i cant be as intimate as we both need.
We both feel lost and the stress of school and much more is making it worse. Has anyone else had a similar experiences/ any tips to make things easier?
@AcrylicCorgi Unfortunately this is a common side effect of many antidepressant meds. Some have better reputations than others; it might be possible to talk to your doctor and try a different medication (though there may be some reluctance to change if you're doing well otherwise on your current one).
