Anyone else dealing with depression after Daylight Savings & increased dark hours?

I really need some support right now and/ or advice.

I take vitamin D3 omega 3s and exercise. Still I feel deep depression interspersed with anxiety thoughtout the night.

In the past I've tried 'sucking it up' and plowing through til Spring but I can't lose months or living as result of my lack of coping skills.

Thanks

I don't do well either, I hate it being dark before 5 pm, I also don't deal well with the cold weather, I need to move to a warm climate, ughh

Personally, I'm a night owl but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy daylight, it's just not in the early mornings. With daylight savings, as I have a fairly late start time for classes along with night classes, I get so little natural light that my depression gets worse too. Only half a dozen hours, if that, a day are what I'm awake for and the majority of that time is spent inside. Personally I have to do stuff I find/found fun in a well lit room (natural light when I can) and focus on the next adventure I want to go on. be it a little trip back home or the internship I want to do in a couple years out of the country.

@animalcaretaker7 Well, the upside is that you can work on coping with this before you enter the workforce. Working in an office during these months can be brutal, not going to lie.
