Being given an ultimatum

I recently reconnected with an old friend opposite gender and it was nice to have a friend. But then my husband got jealous and gave me an ultimatum, either we'll have a shitty marriage if you keep talking to him or stop talking to him. I'm upset because of course I had to choose my husband and because I had to give up my only friend. I genuinely don't have any friends, it's always just me and my kids all day until my husband comes home. He won't change his mind on the subject. I'm just alone and depressed and I've always have had a hard time making friends because people always end up using me. And I thought I had a friend here but that didn't pan out, I need real life friends. He thinks he should be enough for me, but I need more than just him for adult conversation. I just feel so lonely and depressed.
