Broken

I literally hate my life. I am almost 30 and have gotten no where. I hate my job, i hate i havent been able to pursue any passions. I hate how i betrayed, lied, and manipulated my now ex gf of 5 years so much that she broke down and left me. I honestly don't see a future anymore and don't know what to do. I wish i could be happy but i feel i have too many responsibilities and burdens keeping me from being able to do so. I am trapped and want to be free so badly.

@Tibadukes I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. If you don’t mind saying, if you had fewer responsibilities what would you be doing to make yourself happy? Do you have anything in your life, even a small thing that you are grateful for?

I feel if i didnt have these responsibilities, i would be qble to focus on a career id enjoy, or pursue my hobbies instead of only getting a few minutes a day if im lucky. I was grateful for my partner but shes gone now, the only thing im grateful for now is the roof over my head.

That feeling of being trapped is pretty awful, isn't it? But there are always ways out. They just take time. Tell us a bit more about what you would like your world to look like. @Tibadukes

In a perfect world, i wouldnt have to stress about finances, i would have ample time to do things i need and want to do, and not be miserable everyday i wake up.

Tell me more about the things that you would like to do. Maybe a few of them are possible but in a different form than you are imagining. @Tibadukes

I used to really enjoy baking, watching anime and playing games, even coding. I just lost interest and motivation in everything because the time just didn't permit it for me.

I think that our brains lie to us when they stress us out about the amount that we have to do. Think in really small time chunks. If you can code for 15 minutes or bake something once a month it counts. Brief moments of relaxation will make you less overwhelmed. @Tibadukes

@Tibadukes

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through a tough time right now. It sounds like you're feeling overwhelmed by a lot of negative emotions and circumstances, and that you're struggling to find a way out.

Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that everyone experiences difficult times in their lives, and it's okay to feel stuck or unsure of how to move forward. However, it's also important to recognize that you have the power to change your situation.

One thing you might consider is seeking help from a therapist or counselor. Talking to a professional can help you process your emotions and gain clarity about what steps you can take to improve your situation. You might also consider reaching out to a support group or community of people who have experienced similar struggles.

Additionally, it may be helpful to start making small changes in your daily life. This could mean setting aside time to pursue a hobby or passion, or finding a new job or career path that aligns more with your interests and values. It's also important to take responsibility for your actions and make amends for any harm you may have caused in your past relationships.

Remember that change takes time and effort, but it's possible to create a more positive and fulfilling life for yourself. Don't be afraid to reach out for help and support along the way.

I have considered talking to a therapist, its just currently im unable to afford it. My current insurance doesn't cover therapy and i need to prioritize my living situation before i can put money aside for that.

The snap change part, i will see what i can do to. Im currently looking for a new job too, but i need to make the same if not more pay or else things will collapse around me.

I havent really had anyone i could talk to because i needed to cut people from my life that were doing more harm than good. The only person i had was my partner. But im grateful this app/website exists so i have somewhere i can get stuff out of my head and see different perspectives and recieve suggestions to move forward.
