Can’t go to therapy anymore

So I’ve been struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts for almost 4 years now, and was seeing somewhat regularly a psychiatrist in my home country and it did go well. I could see I was making real progress as I almost never thought about suicide when I was going to therapy. Now I’ve moved abroad and my insurance doesn’t cover that. It costs around 230 $ an hour and I just can’t afford that. I feel like I’m losing all the progress I’ve done and am slowly sliding back into a life of isolation and unhealthy behavior. I just don’t know what to do

Congrats on finding 7cups at least here it's free and ppl care. Some listeners are fairly skilled and can recommend links that can help you. I'm not sure but if your a student in a university typically they have free therapists available to students. Some therapists will work out a plan that you can afford. I understand how important professional help is, I see a therapist every week and she has been instrumental to my survival. Best, 💜 ABB

Thank you for sharing. In my school unfortunately only the first session with a therapist is free, then you have to pay for it on your own. I’m grateful for this place and the support it offers, I think I would have been in a far worse condition if not for this app
