Changing Meds, need some good wishes
My psychiatrist has decided to do a full medication change over the next few months and I'm very nervous about it. My anti-depressant isn't doing as good of a job as it could be and it just doesn't seem to be the right fit. The last time I changed my meds wasn't a good experience so I'm super anxious about it.
Any thoughts (or prayer for you religious folk) are welcome.
Hi,@astuteScorpius! From my own experience I know how hard it is to find the right meds to help you with depression recovery. Have you consider talking with your doctor about it? I think after such a long time it has to be checked if there's something better suited for your brain chemicals. Nowadays there is a wide range of meds to be choose from and you can certainly find the one which will be more effective. Sooner to check it than better, because it is not worth the struggle.
Medical appointments are stressful and a bit overwhelming when there so little time to discuss the vital matters. Writing things you want to talk about is really handy, because it ensures that you will receive all of the answers.
Let us keep posted how are you feeling lately and what course of action you decided to take. Please take a good care of yourself, lovely!
I know EXACTLY how you feel !! I too have had experiences very similar to yours and I know I need to change my meds but the combination of the lack of insurance and the fear of my experiences from changing meds in the past has me frozen
