Combat Depression Fatigue

Hello everyone. Welcome. [heart]

I wanted to expand a little bit on depression related fatigue tonight. This symptom has been kicking me in the gut all week. Even when I am getting seven hours of sleep a night --for two consecutive nights (amazing for an insomniac)--, I still want nothing more than to stay in bed. (Tack onto that irrational and intermittent spells of tears.)

As well all know, exhaustion, loss of interest, and a sensation of feeling constantly overwhelmed or irritable are all hallmarks of major depression. What on earth do you do when you can't get out of bed and your whole life is passing you by? What happens when a mother feels guilty about being unwilling or unable to play with her child? What happens when a marriage suffers because you find it difficult to engage in healthy activities? What happens when you lose motivation and adopt indifference long enough to see consequences at work or school? How do you cope?

I wanted to start a discussion tonight that would open the dialogue on this topic, and invite further discussion. Please take a look at the article below and share your thoughts. How has fatigue impacted your life? How do you battle this?

Thank you, as always, for your stories. For additional reading, see below.
