Concussion
So in September I was t-boned only injury I had from it was a concussion, took awhile for the head ake to go away about half a month after I started feeling depressed, from the smallest things like my girlfriend unable to come see me for a day would make me depressed to arriving late to work or getting home work, or even not able to kiss my gf would make me depressed. Then it would spiral fast and send me down a hole I wouldn't want to do anything but stare at the wall or sit in my car or go do anyrhing. Simple little things would set it off is first feel very angry then turned to depression then the spiral happened. Like tonight I had a double date with my gf and just wanted to spend some alone time with her but she couldn't and it made me depressed. I know I shouldnt feel this way and I didn't feel like this before the accident. I guess what I'm wondering could this all be from the stupid concussion?
Hi Matman29
I'm so sorry you've been experiencing depression seemingly after your concussion. It sounds like it's really troubling you and affecting your relationship. We don't really have doctors here on 7cups (we're literally all just strangers on the internet), so it's really hard to say if your depression is caused by the concussion. I highly suggest you see a doctor to be sure. If it is caused by the concussion, they will know what to do to help you. If it's just depression, then they will also know how to treat it. Professionals will probably know a lot better than random people on a forum. Best of luck! I hope you get better soon.

I have been to my doctor, he does believe its from the concussion. I more or so want to hear from people that have experienced it and how others have dealt with it. My gfs been there for me through it all and that helps too. Guess I more or so just want to talk with others about everything.

I see. Thank you for clarfiying. It most certainly helps to know there are people out there going through the same thing. I'm also very glad that your girlfriend has been supportive. Social support is more important that we give credit for!
If you're having difficulty finding people who have experienced the same thing on the forums, you could try the group chats as well. If you're OK to talk to anyone about it (not just people who've had the same experience), hopefully the listeners on the site can provide you some comfort. Take care!
