How do you help someone with depression when they stop contact with you and wont respond to texts or phone calls ?

Hi, dear. I'm so sorry to hear that you are having this problem. It is in my experience, that you can't really help someone that won't let you. All you can do is make sure you're there for them when they change their mind and decide they need help. If you are really concerned, maybe you could reach out to a close family member of theirs or another close friend. There is power in numbers. Just let this person know that even though they aren't talking to you, that you are ready to talk when they are. That you aren't going to leave them, or give up on them. That you support them no matter what. That you love them unconditionally, and that you will always be there for them. Just be ready to help them when they finally let you in. However, try to be careful about being too pushy. You don't want to make this person feel suffocated. There is a fine balance. I hope this helps some, and I hope your friend gets better.

You're doing great. They are lucky to have a friend like you. Keep up the good effort! I'm sure in time, your hard work will pay off.
