I've recently been struggling with creative blocks b/c of depression, and it's really, really frustrating me, more than any of the other things. Does anyone have an advice for working through those blocks caused by depression? Thank you so much :)

Hmm, I think I experience something similar. This happens for my writing or drawing or any sort of creative endeavor.

The one trick I've found works for me, when I want to draw but I'm not feeling inspired is to just place some kind of line on the page. Maybe a squiggly line, or some really strange shape - anything really. Then from that I just imagine what it could be. Sometimes the line is a major part of the piece, sometimes it just gets lost in the background but it doesn't matter because it got me to draw something. Usually after that exercise, I have an idea for something else - because I was limited by my line and realized there was some other thing I wanted to draw that didn't fit.

I've heard that adult colouring books can be helpful too. I think the act of just colouring can free up your mind and allow creativity to sneak in.

I wish you luck with your creativity :)
I hope it finds you soon!
