Depression after grief
My friend died in a car accident 4 months ago. He was being foolish, as were the other people in the car (including my boyfriend), and I'm really struggling with it. I'm angry at all of them, and I blame myself because I was supposed to be there, but I let my ex-boyfriend guilt me into spending more time with him so I wasn't. I can't let go of the anger, guilt, and sadness. I'm also struggling with other emotional problems. Everything seems to be building up and I would love to speak with a counselor but I can't affor one (I've looked it up in my city, it's definitely not in my budget). Anyone out there willing to listen? I'm having a hard time finding empathetic people to talk to.
Hi @sammiepie93
I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss. The complex emotions you've been feeling sound very painful and are absolutely real and valid. As you may already know, everyone grieves in their own way and letting go of these feelings can take a long time. I hope you'll be able to find appropriate resources here on 7cups.
