Depression and anxietyas a side effect

Hey you guys I'm under medication for a neurological condition. And the medicine I take has depression and anxiety as one of the many side effects. Does anyone here have depression due to your medications? If so, how do you all deal with it?

This might sound like an obvious question, but is there any possibility to change your medication? Depression is a really serious side-effect that might even counterproductive to the positives it has (I assume) on your condition.

Actually most of the epileptic medications have this side effect. But this particular medication controls my seizures better than any other. Also I wouldn't say it causes extreme depression all the time, it's occasional but still annoying all the same.
