Depression, anxiety, fear, and so much more....
Is it possible to ever have the hurtful things others say to you not hurt anymore?! What triggers my depression, and anxiety is when my husband that I've known for 6 years still to this day says things to me that make me feel like a dumpster fire. That's the only way I can explain it. Why can't I get over what others say and realize I'm not what they say I am. Simply because I know I'm not. But it doesn't seem to be good enough to my head coming from me....... I'm getting lost and don't know what to do anymore...... I need to get out of it for my kids, but constant negativity isn't helping. Maybe I should just leave. I don't know anymore.
Unfortunately it’s usually the people closest to us, who can harm us the most...Over time a lot of our relationships develop bad patterns, where disrespect becomes normalized or trivial, this type of behavior over time can wear a person down. It actually wears away at your Happiness, Personality and Natural human defenses...Would you let a Stranger talk too you, the way your Husband does? You got Yourself into this, but the good news is, You can get Yourself out it Lol...I have had some relationships go completely toxic, and had to really make some Major, Uncomfortable, but Necessary adjustments. Some of the relationships did not make it, which is good in the long run. Your going to have to re Strengthen your Self-Love and Self-Respect, because the person disrespecting you only feels Empowered when you are not feeling your best. Once your are strong again, they will Still try to throw shots at you, but now it will be like a 5 yr old child trying to punch a Grown man body builder...You will then be able to then re assert codes of conduct in regards to healthy communication. Ofcourse they will play dum (they always do) or say they were just Joking, You can let them know you don’t find it funny...Understand you can never stop a-holes, from being a-holes. No contact is true freedom from those who never “Get it” but in the case of sharing kids and a life together, it will be tough, but don’t give them the satisfaction of seeing that they are getting under your Skin, they are sick and get a rise out of it. Realize it’s over, and begin to cordially plan your Exit lol...Internally knowing it’s almost done will make it feel alittle more freeing, Kinda like senior year in High School of after you handed in a 2 week notice, no matter what, It’s almost over! Just my 2 cent, be Strong, be Well
