Depression in isolation
So I've been in isolation for a couple of weeks now. I think the head of it is that my birthday is this month and I'm depressed that I won't be getting a proper birthday to celebrate. It's not a big birthday, but it's the way my family and boyfriend are treating it. Like it's going to be just the same old day as the last. And that's what's making it harder on me. It's the one day I get to be spoilt, as rich as that may sound, but coming from a poor family, you might be able to understand my frustrations.
my usually very loving, caring and supportive boyfriend, is being.... I don't know. let me tell you what's bothering me
no presents- okay this may sound selfish to a lot of you, and yeah birthays shouldn't be all about presents, but, on his birthday, Christmas, and valentines I've spoilt him with really thoughtful presents. The fact that he wasn't even going to try and get me something frustrates me. Yes I know it's a hard time right now with this pandemic but that's why if anything i want it more. To be cheered up.
the attitude towards my birthday- no excitement. I posted a couple more picture on my Snapchat about it being my birthday a last last he responded with. "Oh your one of those who believes you get a birthday week/month. Your birthday happens on one ay a year. Yes. I know and I don't believe it doesn'ut can I not be happy in that it's now April which means my birthdays this month :/
and amongst all this, and it's been happening for a few days now, I still haven't been able to tell the truth to him. I just keep avoiding it by making excuses like "oh yeah it's cos of my birthdays and me not being able to see my family" not a complete lie. Or today's little white lie of "it's the fact that I'm bored of quarantine" also not a lie exactly. I keep my feelings bottled up and my only release it by writing how I feel down but never speaking them out load to him. I hate lying to him, our relationships always been very open and trueful to one another. But I can't bring my self to say it to his face.
help!
side note- as I was writing this he announced that he had ordered my present. It's a start but I still don't think I should of got it out of him by nagging him :(
I don't know how to delete the other one and it has a lot of mistakes so read this one instead please
