Depression... it'll never go away
I suffer from depression, anxiety and self harm, and I find myself thinking about suicide most of the time. I had a friend, my only friend, and she decided to leave me alone, now I have no support and I don't really want to live anymore... I tried therapy for a few months but that didn't work.... I guess there's nothing else to do, I just need to find the right moment to end it...
My best friend left me two months ago. Its really awful. I feel loss in the world. But I can tell u. Not all days are bad. U will have some good day and slowly as like goes on there will be more better days and less bad days
@Amymarie0417 all my days are bad days.
Praying for you... Look soon there will be a friend you need
No matter how different, how messed up or broken you are, there will always be someone there who will love you, help you and cherish you. You matter. Each of us are one and only's. Whatever you've been, whatever you are and whatever you will be. In so many insignificant and momentous ways. Truly the world would not be what it is without you, nor will the future. It's not selfish to put yourself first, it's necessary.
It's important to remember when you're depressed you have to nurse yourself and be extra gentile towards yourself. Just like an athlete wouldn't break an ankle then force themselves to run that ankle. They rest as it heals and do not think "I'm a failed athlete" they think "right now something isn't working so I'll take care of myself until it does."
Just like a broken bone, depression can change the way your daily life plays out. Pushing yourself too hard and getting frustrated when you don't feel better is like trying to run on that broken ankle and getting frustrated when it doesn't heal.
Always remember that you are BRAVER than you think. STRONGER than you seem. SMARTER than you believe. And twice as BEAUTIFUL as you ever imagined.
You believe depression will never end, but bad times don't last. Life changes constantly, and it's up to you to go with that change or stick to old habits. Don't be afraid to seek help and new healthy coping mechanisms. Early intervention is key. You think therapy isn't helping, but perhaps its preventing it from drastically worsening? Things always work out one way or another, but you need to allow yourself to acknowledge that. You have complete control, do not let depression tell you otherwise. You're stronger than this, and you are going to win this. Don't hold back.
Would somebody tell me that I am not the only one who self harms. I know im not, but I just started doing it. I jut want to know, I feel so alone doing it.
@Crandler
An enormous amount of people who use 7 Cups self-harm. I'll admit that I and many other listeners self-harm too. Please stop while you still can, your worth more than those scars. If you ever want to talk about it feel free to send me a message here:
I do too actually I just did like 30 minutes ago and I feel awful. You're not alone.
all I really want is the pain to go away and the only way to accomplish that is by dying... Therapy only makes it worse and being alone is not easy, I don't have any kind of support from my family and I don't have friends... so what's the point of living like this? Oh, and I'm so sick and tired of receiving the same cliche answers all the time "it'll get better" "you're strong", "nothing lasts forever", "I know you can do this", "suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem" (the last one really pisses me off) you have no idea what I'm going through and those lines... only makes it worse....
I know it's hard and that I can't even imagine what you are going through. But you are incredibly strong for making it this far and I know you can do it. So please, do not give up!! There are people who want to help you. They want to try and make it better even though that they may seem impossible to you. So please talk to them and let them try to help you. I'm so sorry for what you are going through it is awful and no one should have to suffer like that. Just now that people do care. I care! So please keep fighting! Sending hugs, loves and strength.
