Depression relationship help..
Hey there! I need some help with a few things.. The man that I'm talking to (we're not dating.) was told he has depression about 2 weeks ago. Since then he's been so distant to me, I know he doesn't mean to push me away, but he has and it hurts me. We have a very good relationship to be honest, we've never fought, he's not mean to me.. I got a bit impatient with him constantly ignoring me when I'd try to talk to him, and I told him he can talk to me now when I'm not upset or when I come up to get my things. (i didnt want to have to be shitty towards him, i know what he's going through.) and he talked to me about things. Told me he wasnt messing around with other women & that he just isolated himself, with things coming up and his health getting worse, he isolated himself, hes been having panic attacks, and that it wasnt me, and that i was fucking amazing. then he told me that he feels numb. he has no physical urge to do anything, he has no need for intimacy or no sex drive. that honestly broke me a bit, because he's always been the most intimate person with me and to see that gone from him upset me.. I'm just worried he's on the wrong medicine and he wont go back to the same man that I fell for.. He used to beg me to come see him every night. (usually its the girl asking) but now we barely speak.. he told me he never really has anything to say so he just puts his phone away and doesnt talk to anyone, then he apologized for pushing me away. before we talked and i figured out he had depression i asked him "do you want me to just walk away? i will if you want me to." and he said "no". I'm being so so patient and so so caring to him, but i feel like he doesnt even care. Like it doesnt even phase him.. Im constantly wanting to give up. but i just have a feeling in my gut not to.. I guess im just worried he wont be the same man after he gets to feeling well, im afraid he wont want me or need me anymore.. I dont know what I can do to be there & to really make him realize that i'm here for him and im not leaving him just because he's sick.. any help would be so very much appreciated. thank you all so much.
