Why do doctors act so weird about depression? They either overreact or ignore cries for help... My ex has severe depression and I helped him many times go to the Dr.. they always acted as though he was sucidal and even sent him off to a mental hospital for a bit.. I however couldent get my PCP to even talk about depression to get help.. Now I don't have insurance so I feel like I'm out of options for help.

I'm really sorry that is hard. And I don't know why doctors act like that around depression. And i think they should listen to the patient first before making any assumptions. Yes not having insurance and your ddoctor not talking about it with you doesn't help. Do you have any coping skills?
