Does depression leaves anyone without treatment?
Hello..
I'm a newbie here. I know I am suffering from Dysthymia and Haphephobia, but what will probably happen if I do not let anyone know about this? I'm living with this all since Sep 5, 2019. I can feel the problem is getting severe but NO, I don't want to seek any help or medication. It will just make my parents feel shameful (well they already are) and make me feel different. Now my brain power is declining gradually, even I dont remember stuff I had learned about 2 or 3 months ago. I fear the upcoming situations and future of mine. Even I don't have courage to face it all. Things haunt me. All my previous interests have vanished. I'm shrinking and my veins are getting more and more visible throughmmy skin day by day. Terrible nightmares doom my nights, even I wake up shuddering and crying at midnight. But, I'm hideous enough that no one around me knows this all.

Hi, I'm a semi regular here, I come and go every once and a while. I'm glad you reached out here, it's hard to open up to parent or friends because a lot of people don't understand the medical side of depression and anxiety. You're really brave for even coming here, a lot of people I know wouldn't think of this as option. I'm glad you did. I even know someone who I'm sure might also have Dysthymia but wont open up to me, so youre not alone in feeling the way you do.
Go ahead and keep writing and saying what you feel here. There are a lot of people who understand what you are saying and can even give you tips.
