Don't see the point.
Hey folks I thought I'd reach out today, I've been fairly depressed lately as secondary to my anxiety. I really need a job but I'm just not ready I don't think, it's really got me down I'm not moving anywhere I don't get the point sometimes, I'm better off under a rock. I've had lots of short term counselling that hasn't done much. I'm on the list for more short term counselling but I need to pay for the proper stuff(which I can't afford) My partner had suggested antidepressants but I've just heard too many bad things about them if I'm honest, I'm really at a crossroads and I can't be bothered with doing anything, not even things for fun. It's rough.
It's okay to not be ready for a job. I know I'm certainly not, but that's okay, because I'm working towards it. That's the key. You set goals for yourself, piece by piece. Antidepressants are like bandaging a wound in your brain. It's like insulin for diabetics, except you're getting your own happiness because you aren't producing it. Yes, some medicines won't work. They're based on your brain chemistry. You have to find what fits. That can take a couple of tries.
