Do you ever get so overwhelmed by regret that you don't know how to move forward?

I've recently been through a couple of huge life changes. These changes were initially so freeing and exhilarating. But now over time they're starting to form in my mind as regrets.

I'm alone, but married. I'm confined to my apartment most days out of fear of spending money. I'm struggling to find self worth. And instead of support from my husband, he wants to leave me because of the mistakes I've made and that I have little confidence in myself.

@dapperMango2631 The premise of wanting others to love you is that you love yourself enough, and the same goes for confidence. The charm brought to you by confidence will be deeply caved into others' hearts. What I'm trying to say is that every second that passes marks that will be history; we don't have to struggle with what's past because we won't have a chance to reverse the time; that's why we have to cherish the present so that the gift doesn't become the future sorry. Life is made up of many affections, don't let them be your bondage, do what you want, and be the best.

I'm sorry to see your struggling. Go easy on yourself what's done is done and can't be changed . My therapist always says when you know better you do better. This helps me as I've made some not so good decisions and it weighed so heavy on me. I have many regrets but I can't change the past so I'm working in therapy to make better choices.

Your not alone my friend.

Best of luck to you

It is normal to feel overwhelmed by regret at times, but it is important to remember that you can move forward and make positive changes in your life. Every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow and make choices that bring you happiness and fulfillment. Instead of dwelling on past mistakes, focus on the present moment and what you can do to make your future better. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family, and seek help from a professional if needed. Remember, you are not defined by your past, but by your choices today and in the future.

Life can really be tough when you are focused on regrets. What is so rough with them is that there isn't a way to change the past anyway. What do you see as a next good step to move forward?@dapperMango2631

I think focusing on regrets does nothing but keep us in a bad headspace. I was dwelling on a poor financial choice last year and it did nothing for me. I was depressed and stressed out. Then after months of feeling down about it I finally accepted that I can't change what I did. I'm working towards making better financial choices and meeting attainable goals. Same for my personal life. I'm divorced. I look back and think why did I waste my time with a man like my ex-husband, but then I think of the wonderful daughter I got from that time and realize it's not a waste.

Good luck to you.

I am sorry for you. It just happens to me too. All the decisions are so wrong that I don' t know what to do. I am afraid to take another step because I think I will make another wrong turn.
