Due to being depressed has left me dealing with having to lose a lot of weight....

This is the 1st time that I have ever weighed so much in my life. I am about 225 now.The most I had ever weighed was 181 when I was a senior in high school. At that time I had made a promise to myself to never weigh that much again.Well now here I am after being clinically depressed, dealing with not having adequate work to pay my bills, went through unemployment in 2009-2011 which I believe started my creep into clinical depression...which really hit me in late 2013...

I have gone through a lot of changes due to all of those experiences.I started going to counseling in June 2014 trying to tear away each of my layers.I still have more to work through but I couldn't afford it after May of this year due to me losing a pt job that I really needed.Where I am right now is still trying to get another job, and now dealing with trying to lose 90lbs because my body doesn't feel well at all.I have also let go a lot of people whom I thought was my friend.During my depression...I still tried to keep in touch with people via e-mail more then phone.I found myself dealing with people who just wasn't reciprocating the same so I decided that I had had enough and I made sure to tell them that I was done chasing after people to get in touch with me..no excuse.I do feel somewhat better but hurt still.Basically I have been cutting out these people whom I realize isn't there for me the way that I had been there for them.Anyone know what I'm talking about? or going through the same thing?Gaining lots of weight and now trying to get the mind set in losing it to feel healthier? With this depression that I had...I lost the love of everything that I use to enjoy.I use to love to dance a lot!!! That stopped.I use to love to read...well at the time it stopped and now I am reading a lot again. Now my main focus is getting in shape and going back to the club to dance again. It was good for my mind and soul.I have very few friends now BUT I decided to only keep those that really have been there and I didn't have to chase to keep in touch with me.Anyone going through the same?

Hi purple, I totally understand. I had gained s lot of eight while I was depressed and I finally put my mind to losing it. I was feeling physically bad. I lost 80 pounds in 10 months. Then I hit another bought of major depression and gained it all back. Trying to figure out s way to motivate myself to start over. It's tough. Don't have friends I can talk to about it and the people I try to talk to are not helpful in the least. I know the yoyo on my body can't be too good either. So you are not alone!

Yes... And after I binge eat. I look at my body and feel disgusted and gross with myself it's a never ending cycle I don't know how to stop I wasn't this big before. How are you coping?

Same here. I always feel better while I eat but after I just get so angry and upset with myself. I've never been in this situation before. It really sucks. All my friends.. well I hardly talk to them anymore.. are in crossfit and all that and always talking about weight which made me even more uncomfortable. Hbu?

I don't have friends... I substituted drinking for eating I guess both aren't good but they all wanted to drink and I don't. I feel very alone I'm alone all day it's depressing or family they don't live near by so we don't keep in touch.. Hbu?

I just moved back in with my family but I don't really feel welcome. I feel like a part of me is missing.

I know all about moving back in with the family.I had no choice years ago after leaving my bf.I wanted to be alone and not be bothered. It was a nightmare for me because my parent's Friends always wanted to 'see' me!! I wanted to just stay in my bedroom and be left alone! Then they always was giving me unwanted suggestions on how to get a job or asking me if I had found anything yet!! UGH!! Well me and my ex go t back together and I moved out of my parents home to where I am now living...by myself again BUT still living on my own struggling to keep it that way...still dealing with finding a pt job to help supplement the job I have now...which is another pt job.we all know no one can live off of only 1 pt job...so it's been a mess and I am just sick and tired of it.

Did you have to move home due to job issues?

I don't eat when I'm emotional or anything like that. It's just that I started to make bad choices for myself when I was hungry.I started to not care but I ate when I was hungry.I can't eat when I"m upset. I am now starting my day off on a positive note and will keep going until I feel healthier.I made my 1st positive healthy choice in food this morning and it can only get better from here. I know all about not being around friends or family.I haven't seen my friends in years because of dealing with this depression....I don't want them to see how I look now.I want to work more on myself and when I am ready to see them...I will make it known.I don't want my family to visit me either because I don't want them to see how much weight I've gained.I don't need the comments or the suggestions.I don't want to go anywhere anyway so I don't want visitors period. We will get through this you guys BUT we have to find the strength within ourselves to do i t because we are the only ones who can fix this.
