Everyday is a struggle

I lost a really good friend to the Corona virus recently and since then my mental health hasn’t been too good. I mean it wasn’t that good before too but I feel it’s gotten a bit worse. I always have this thought in my head “why did he die, it should be me”. Im an Indian living in Germany and i just feel alone and feel like no One understands what it’s like to have these voices in your head tell you, you are a loser and you’re not good enough. Everyday is a struggle.

@easyIdea1581

I recently lost my dad and I can sympathise with how you are feeling. What you are feeling is natural and is part of the grieving process. People often experience distinct phases during the process such as Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance.

Stress, especially emotional stress can exasterbate depression and other mental health symptoms.

Don't be too hard on yourself, we all grieve in our own way and at our own pace but in the end, it is a hard process for us all.

I know it might not take away the loneliness you are feeling but know you are not alone in how you feel, the voices, the depression, the grief. I understand and so do many on this forum, I'd venture to say.

Stay strong.
