Feeling like it's not worth it
I am starting to feel like try to over come my self-loathing and depression is not worth it because I can't be fixed. My ex believes that I am beyond fixing and that I should never try at any other relationships. She wants me to just "fake it till I make It" and that if I want to try and get better that I should do so without having a support system. And most of the time I agree with her. But there is a small part of me that what's more, yhat wants to heal so I can be happy for both myself and our kids. And maybe just maybe find someone who aspects all that o am. But maybe she's right and there is no point, that the end result is that I am just too broken.
I think you deserve support. It may not be in the form of romance right away, but you never know either. "Fixing"... Well I don't know about that. From personal experience, especially with depression... I want to believe that one day it won't come back, but I don't know if that's realistic. I am optimistic about the possibility of somewhat healing the roots of depression. It just takes a long time and a lot of work, but it can be done. I think you deserve that too.I also think you should try to let what your ex has to say roll off of your back. They don't sound like they're speaking in your best interest. What they're saying is messed up.
