Finding a passion?
Of course, a loss of interest in things and activities you used to enjoy is a well known symptom of depression. Apparently it is better to force yourself to do something than to just curl up and stay in bed all day. No one ever entirely succedes in expressing how hard that is though; words don't seem to manage.
I think, if I can find something, a passion, or even a couple of interests that are worth expending energy on, maybe I can find some way to live and to make life passable. I say passion meaning not one thing that life revolves around, not a purpose of life, but something to let me live. Everyone says to think of things that make you happy, or remember what you liked as a child.
The problem is I don't know of anything that makes me happy. I have memory issues and can't remember what I liked as a child, or even what I liked before becoming seriously depressed. Does this mean that this is impossible? What do I do? If this is like you, what do you do?

Hi, I know exactly how you feel: I quitted every activity and sport I used to do because of my anxiety and depression. Now I'm desperately trying to find something to keep my mind busy but it's too hard. All I end up doing is laying on my bed while listening to music and thinking about how sad is my life. I'm sorry, I wish I had some useful advice to give you but I'm in the same situation as you. But if you want support or someone to talk to, I'm right here.

Hi. I would suggest referring to the activities practiced by people around you. Anything that appeals to you? Even the slightest? You can also search on google for ideas on things to do. If nothing sparks your interest, you might have to just force yourself to try something. Sometimes, we really need to push ourselves. Staying idle will not help. And you are the only person who can take that step towards change. No one will take it for us because at the end of the day, our well-bieng is our responsibility. It's easier said than done, but change will not come without an actual change.
You can also try out volunteer opportunities. If that's too much of a start, try to help someone, anyone, may it be a close person or a random stranger, with the smallest and simplest gestures. It can be anything. Helping others helps take the focus off of ourselves and sometimes we really need to zone out of own world.
Finally, you might want to start journaling. Keeping tab of how you feel during the day. This will help raise awareness of what excites you or makes you smile and you will slowly be learning about your own likes and interests.
Hope this helps. Best of luck to you.
