Finding it hard to forgive
A few months after I had a baby, I caught my partner asking another women out on the internet. I feel so betrayed, the worse thing was, I work at the weekends and he looks after our baby, sohe was going to see this women, do what ever with her, whilst he had ourbaby with him.I still want to be with him but I'm finding it very hard to forgive him. Over the years I've always forgiven him for the crap he has pulled, but this time I just can't seem to get over it. Does anyone have any advice they could give me, I'd appreciate it.
Whenever something happens to me that needs my forgiveness I remember one thing : "if you're mad react! forgiveness comes later". So I've learned that it's very hard to forgive without first reacting. you can try to talk him directly about it & how upset he made you, you can even ask him for his reasons.. then you might find it your heart to forgive!
there're only a certain number of times we can forgive the person. but if you think you cannot forgive him anymore then take some time apart concentrate on yourself & your kid then time will reveal tings for you. Don't let your feelings for him come in way of what you deserve. if you think you deserve more respect than he gives you then that's don't settle..
Shall I add that I'm terribly sorry for you having to live this experience. insituations like this I always think that its best to put yourself & your feelings up first, do what will make a good difference in your life two years from now. think how your reaction will affect your life later. best of luck :)
It is very hard to forgive someone who has hurt you. I try to step back from the situation for a bit to allow my emotions to settle. It's hard to do but it can be helpful. For me, forgiving is part of the healing process. I find myself forgiving others but I never forget the hurt. I hope that makes sense. People hurt one another all the time. I am probably guilty of this as well however saying I am sorry means that I will not repeat the same actions or behavior twice. Follow your heart! We all deserve to be happy!
