Being lonely in college feels horrible. I feel so lost because I cant share anything with someone. I wish I had friends to talk to and laugh with. What are ways or places I can go to make friends? Is anyone in college who feels the same?

@Coraline456 @Coraline456 Hey Coraline! Making friends in college can definitely be something that's difficult, I'm sorry you're having a tough time with it. Sometimes just a simple question with a classmate can be helpful, have you tried sparking conversation by asking to borrow a pen from someone? or have you considered asking something like 'Hey, I'm a little confused on what the professor meant when he said xyz, did you know what he meant? Is there any way you can explain it to me?' Little things like that can open up the door to creating other conversations because that way the ice is broken. Sometimes the library is a good place to meet people too at college, or even places like canteens or coffee shops. :)

Being a *former* college student, I technically felt completely friendless and all by my lonesome. I tried finding clubs or people that have common interests with myself, but it was all me ending up being turned down. I have participated in activities outside campus rather than trying to be part of the in-crowd, and honestly it works ten times better than finding a club in a university/tech of some sort. But it takes quite some time to get used to mainly if you are someone struggling with abnormal anxiety or somewhere along those lines.
