Hello, I need advice
hello, my name is Bartholomew, but you can call me Barry. i am 14 years old, and currently 6'10 tall. I lived a normal life up until I moved to the U.S. from Germany where I had been born. I moved here to meet new peopple, but all that happened was tragedy. Over the span of the past three months i've had 3 people who were close to me die. The first was 3 months ago, my brother Joseph, was killed in a car accident, and I was devastated. I didn't wanna leave the house I grew distant from friends and even started cutting. 1 month ago my girlfriend Destiny cut herself whilw on a skype call with me, and I was even more traumatized than I was before. I thought every thing would be normal till yesterday, my best friend killed herself in spite of my condition and how sad i was making it worse, I now frequent thoughts of suicide, and can't stop.
@MrDoctor You've been through a horrible time. I'm so sorry all of this has happened to you. It is going to be really important for you to get professional help. 7 Cups is a great resource, and we are definitely here for you! But you are very young and this has been a terribly traumatic time for you. Let your parents know you would like to talk to someone about the losses you've experienced. (You don't even have to tell them just how terrible you feel, but it could help.)
Also, please call 273-8255 or visit https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/chat/ to chat online, as soon as possible.
@ThisIs543 Hello friend, I took the advice, I have therapy tommorow, 11/1/18, I told my parents and hey signed me up, I really do thank you for the help.
@MrDoctor This makes me SO happy to hear, I might cry a little. I'm proud of you for taking that step! I know it's not easy. *hugs*
@MrDoctor
I'm so glad you are seeing a therapist now for support.
I'm so sorry you've experienced so much tradegy all at once! I went through a similar experience when my brother went missing and was later found to have committed suicide. Then several other tragic deaths occurred within a short period of time. It really messes with your head.
Losing someone is tough as it is, but suicide loss is can be like grief and trauma mixed together to form something exponentially more difficult to deal with.
One thing that was helpful for me, was talking to my therapist about trauma. It's really helpful to process through that stuff and feel supported so that it doesnt develop into PTSD.
I am sending you thoughts/prayers of comfort and strength. <3
