Hidden scars, invisible wounds
I don't know if anyone else struggles with this but I can't be the only one. If I was ever honest about how I feel like most expect me to be they wouldn't like what they'd hear. They wouldn't actually want to know. Because the truth is heart breaking and difficult to accept. They see me now as a strong and successful young lady. if they ever heard the truth that idea of me would disapear and they would step away from me. They would start treating me like I was broken and I guess thats what I am... broken. Everyone who has seen me or heard of me knows me as this other person who is far better than I actually am. I must keep up this facade and try to meet up with these high expectations even though I want to fall apart because if I don't everything will fall with me.
I don't think you're broken, and I find the strength you display in acknowledging your vulnerability admirable.
You've put up a facade, and maybe it won't always have to be that way, and you will be able to be honest with those who care about you.
