There's this guy I've went on a couple of dates with. We texted almost all the time. Now it's every two days.Last night he texted me, which I was surprised because he spent the day with his family and he usually doesn't. So last night, I asked a couple of questions and he never responded. Assumed he fell asleep, and he never responded today. He usually does respond, and says sorry, fell asleep, but nothing. Do you think it's his way of trying to end it? Or am I reading into this too much? I wear my heart on my sleeve, so I just feel really sad and depressed. I asked him, if we could be a couple and he said he doesn't really like to put a label on it. But he likes me. I have this feeling he could be just losing interest. What are your thoughts. This is my first real relationship, or whatever it is. Thanks for your help!

Hi... hmm maybe it is his personality and it doesnt have to do with you... but if he has an attitude towards you like he doesnt care and value you enough then you have to think if that is what you want because it is important for the other person to be there for you and that he wants to stay and share with you as much as you want.

I wish you the best

Hey there!

I can definitely understand where you are coming from. I may have never been in a real relationship either, but I certainly know what it's like to care for someone who has no interest in you. I know it can seem confusing since you actually went on a couple dates with this guy, and now all of a sudden, he's being cold. I know your feelings for him may make you think he's an amazing guy, but you have to try and step back and look at it from an objective point of view, as if your good friend was in your shoes. Since he doesn't want to put labels on anything and basically seems to be avoiding you, I'm sorry to say that it honestly looks like he isn't into you as much as you are into him. While it may sting, that doesn't have to be a bad thing! Sometimes we don't connect with some people, or they don't connect with us, but that's part of life; growing, changing, and adapting. It honestly has NOTHING to do with you if his feelings changed. I think it's great that he even talked/went out with you and gave it a chance! But sometimes, things don't work out as we may want them to, which really sucks now, but over time, we will be able to look back and realize it's for the best. You are putting in so much more effort than he is, so even if you were offically dating, I don't think it would be the best relationship since he doesn't seem to be putting any effort or interest into you. You deserve so much better than that! Liking someone or being in a relationship shouldn't drain you or make you second guess how important you are in that person's life. If it does, they simply aren't the right one. I can definitely understand how you are feeling upset right now, and I think you should talk to him; tell him how you feel, and just tell him to be honest with you, because even though the truth can hurt, it's stil better than him stringing you along and wasting your time, so you can get some closure. You can move on, and I believe you will find someone so much better than him, who won't leave you hanging and doubting yourself; but rather building you up, making you happy, and allowing you to look back on this experience and just laugh because of how happy you'll be with someone new who will treat you right. I'm sure you're a wonderful person, but maybe this guy wasn't your match, or maybe the time wasn't right for you to be together, and that is more than okay! Be grateful for the experience and use it to grow and realize your self-wroth! These things happen, and just know you are not alone! I hope this helped, I wish you the best, and take care! :) ❤️

@honeypie720. Wow, thank you so much for taking your time, and writing all of that.what you wrote was super helpful. Everything you wrote is exactly what I needed to hear. I sadly have this fear that I'll be alone forever. I have a hard time trusting dating apps, and don't have any friends. Either does my sisters. So I'm just clinging onto him in hopes he'll see me worthy. It just really sucks! I hate having feelings, wish I could be numb towards it all. Was thinking of going on a depression pill, but I'm afraid of putting on weight. Anyways thank you! I hope to figure this all out soon!

I totally understand where you're coming from because I have been there. I know it can seem like just because one thing doesn't work out, that nothing else will, but that's not true! That's like saying just because you didn't get hired for one job, you'll never get another one. There are so many people and opportunities out there, so you will definitely not die alone. We all end up alone or feel lonely at some point in our lives, but the door is always open to meeting new people! It seems like you and your sisters are in the same boat, so maybe you could lean on each other for support. Life can change in so many unexpected ways, I'm sure you can find friends and that special someone if you put yourself out there and just believe in yourself. Maybe talk to your doctor more about your concerns for the depression medication, as I'm sure they'll work with you to help you feel better. I believe in you, and I'm wishing you well! 💗
