I feel so guilty for being depressed, but I feel so alone
I have great marks but always 1 percent below those who are recognised. I'm depressed but I feel so guilty because compared to others, I've got it easy but I always feel alone and I get compared to my sister. its always her telling me to stand next to her and smile and wave so she can prove she actually has a sister and isnt just making it up, and she's pretty and im just average, so imagine having to stand next to someone who is prettier than u in order to prove you exist. My friend count has gone down from 3 to 0 in two days and I don't know what to do with myself anymore, there are things I want to do with my life, like finish university which is a long way away since im only in grade 8 but I dont know if ill make it.
@Xanna, just because your sister is attractive doesnt make you ugly. I would be willing to bet you are just as pretty, if not prettier than your sister. You are only in the 8th grade, you have plenty of time to prepare yourself for college. You also have plenty of time to grow into your body and nobody can say how pretty you will become in that time. When I was in the 9th grade, I had zits all over my face and one girl nicknamed me scarecrow. By the time I was in the 11th and 12th grade, I had girls inviting me to the prom. But remember one thing, someone can be really beautiful on the outside and be really ugly on the inside and not be very enjoyable to be around. Dont be so hard on yourself about your friends either. If those friends left you , they might not have been real friends to begin with. When I got out of school, a man I worked with, told me that 5 years after I got out of school, I probably wouldnt know any of the people I went to school with. He was pretty spot on. So lighten up on yourself, be good to yourself, and hang in there about the friends, they will come.
Hello Xanna, dont feel guilty about the way you feel! it dosent matter who you are or what sort of life you have, your feelings are important and you should express them with no fear or guilt :-)
