I don't know what's wrong or what to do. I'm becoming an awful, lazy, and a dull person as each day passes.

I don't have much freedom in my life because I'm still a teenager, depending on my parents so please don't say things by assuming that I can do most things other people can do. Like going out and travel or whatever.

I used to have friends in the past whom I can no longer contact because they are no longer my friends. Yet there are a few people who want to talk to me (They don't know that I'm unwell. They're calling for other reasons which I don't know) but I don't recieve their phone calls. I didn't wish my friend on his birthday and when it was about to end he called me himself. I saw the call but I didn't pick it because I didn't want to feel embarassed. They might've been hurt. I'm not in a condition to talk to my friends right now. I stay at home all day long crying without any real tears or trying to fill the emptiness by wasting my time browsing the Internet.

I have no friends and my family is ignorant and insensitive. I don't go anywhere. It's overwhelming me. I have been hurt in the past multiple times. I don't know what to do. I feel fatigued. I don't know what I'm expecting as a response to this thread.

@NonBeing I am so glad to see you here - and to see you reaching out.

Depression is a hard thing to deal with. It tends to make us withdrawal from everything. It makes it hard to open up to friends and family - because even with their best intentions - they sometimes just don't get it. Often their solutions are to "just be happy" - or they ask how can you be so down - look at all you have. They do mean well - but it's not helpful and usually ends up making you feel worse. Is there a school counselor or someone that you can talk to? Or maybe your parents could see about setting you up with someone? I understand how hard it could be to go to them and tell them how you're feeling.

For what it's worth - I don't think you're an awful - lazy - dull person. You're just depressed - depression tells us those things - depression make us believe it. You aren't alone - not here.
