I have a problem with Jealousy

Hi..

I'm new here so I hope you can give me advice with regards to how to handle my problem with Jealousy.

I lost a friend because of my issue with regards to being jealous of her because back when we were still studying, I secretly compete with her for academic honor.

We both achieved an honor yet I was bitter because I don't wanna share that achievement with her.

Fast forward, now, I am currently unemployed and preparing for my US nursing licensure exam while she, on the other hand, is working as an RN locally here in the Philippines (we're both RNs but I stopped pursuing my Nursing dream...I just want to take the US nursing exam to have my license in US since I plan to work there even for a diff. profession)... I'm just envious that she already is one step ahead of me in terms of actualizing her goals, while I'm stuck in a rut... After stalking her facebook profile, I found out that she already have a boyfriend last May 11 2019, to which I was feeling upset and more jealous for the good things that are coming her way, while I'm suffering with a mental illness (Bipolar II) and I just hate this stage in my life...

Any advice will help on how to deal with this issue...

P.S. I go to therapy (psychiatrist) and I still feel not okay

@empressjoanne

Comparing ourselves to others often leads to depression. Keep the focus purely on you. It's what I do ❤
