I'm so scared
I recently dealt with having suicidal thoughts for the first time ever and I'm terrified. Both of myself and of telling someone. Specifically my mom. She's been nothing but supportive to me, but I can see how hard it is for her. She's even brought up how devastated she would be if I killed myself. It's just so hard to build up the strength to tell her, knowing how much that would hurt her. And, honestly, knowing that I would have to be accountable for it and talk about it. Which is something I don't want to do.

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. I had a similar experience when I was younger. I felt very suicidal but was afraid to tell my parents. I would suggest calling a suicide prevention/crisis hotline and talking to someone who is experienced dealing with this issue. It would give you a chance to talk to someone about it where you could focus totally on you and not the feelings of the other person, because they are here specifically to listen to people in crisis. You could get your feelings off your chest, get some support, and maybe even get some advice on how to approach telling your mom.
Wishing you all the best. Suicidal thoughts are so painful but it is possible to come out the other side and feel okay and even happy with life again.
