I’ve never talked about this to anyone, but here goes nothing. I was going to psychiatrist because of ADHD, not depression and anxiety. 3-4 months later I got diagnosed with ADHD, my doctor also diagnosed me with depression and anxiety. I felt like shit. Not because I have mental illness. Because my family would think i’m an attention wh0re. So I tried to tell my parents that I’m fine I don’t have depression, I just have ADHD. And told them doctor diagnosed me wrong. So they wouldn’t think of me as a weak person. I should’ve been diagnosed years ago but I didn’t tell anyone. I was scared my parents wouldn’t love me anymore now that I’m not perfect. I didn’t want my mom and dad to hate me because of my mental illnesses. Because in their eyes, I was perfect; in school, in social life, mentally, physically... Struggling with ADHD, depression and anxiety is not easy. But I’m trying my best. Right now I’m going through a tough time trying to stay alive. One of the things that I remind myself when I feel like there is no way out of my problems, is my desire to help those who are struggling with their mental health. But first, I should get through this shitty situation. Then I want to help people. I don’t know if this sounds kind of lame but it helps me keep going. I will be the person who I needed in my hard times. //Disclaimer: I’m not a native speaker hehe:] Thank you all for this supportive community<3

Thank you for sharing . I also have it too. My coping skill is listening to music for it. It helps . Usually if it strikes I'll turn on slipknot or annisokay.
