It's been a loooong week...

July 31st, 2016

This week feels like it has sucked all the energy out of me and then hit me with a steam roller just to make sure. As I look around my room there are enormous piles of washing to do, stacks of dirty plates and the walking from the door to my bed is quickly becoming a game of the floor is lava.

But actually thinking about what I did this week I realised that I didn't give ME any time to just stop... Uni work one day, netball 3 days and driving an hour each way to appointments on 2 days.

Then you get to today, where the sun was finally out enough to get temp above 10*C and I decided to lie in a patch and have a rest. It took me an hour of convincing myself to sit there because I felt guilty I wasn't doing anything, but I had no energy to do anything else anyway...

So my aim this week... Take half an hour to sit and read or watch telly or listen to music everyday. Hopefully that will mean that by next Sunday night I won't be looking for the runaway steam roller.

@Smudgedpenguin Sounds like you really tired yourself out this week! But you also got a lot done, so it was very productive! Take the time to relax and rest, you really do deserve it :)

Being a student can be tough. But it also helps me take my mind off things that I would rather forget or the other way around.

@Smudgedpenguin

Taking a break from work for self-care is helpful. Good decision. It's important to excerise self-care. :p
